Bonhams at The Quail Auction Preview 2023

One of the most exciting, enjoyable and various automotive event collections, Monterey Car Week, is right around the corner (August 16-20, 2023)! 

We’re going to highlight some of the upcoming auctions and exciting events that should be a staple for anyone attending or watching over social channels.

The Quail auction by Bonhams is a subtle affair, but an auction with some of the finest selections on the Peninsula. 

The Ferrari Enzo is a modern day icon with a price to match. Find yourself at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club with a spare $3MM to spend, this Ferrari Classiche certified example in Rosso Corsa DS could be yours. One of 111 for the US market, this Enzo had a comprehensive service completed in January of 2023.

Perhaps vintage sportscars are more to your taste? A numbers-matching 1959 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster will be available. Born from the iconic 300SL “Gullwing”, the roadster version - birthed from the American market’s drop-top popularity- comes with fuel-injection and desirable Rudge-style wheels. Expect this one to go into the seven figure neighborhood. 

With 109 lots available, there will be no shortage of quality pieces to acquire. But bring your checkbook and a high tolerance for spending. While The Quail can be a less boisterous event, the cost will no doubt have some of the higher item costs of the week.
