Hemmings: Rare Byrne Brothers Chevelle Found

If you are a fan of American muscle cars, the 1970 Chevelle is about iconic as it gets. Add in a rare build code combination, (RPO: LS6 and M22) for the 7.4-liter 454 cubic-inch V8, and a four-speed manual transmission and you have yourself a dream.  Hemmings posted this awesome find. It's a rare Byrne Brothers Chevrolet (think Berger-style tuned) Chevelle. It's not a barn find, but it was stowed away for some time by a Chevelle aficionado, then purchased through an estate sale and found by it's current owner. While not in original paint, according to Hemmings, it appears to be 100% stock aside from the exterior color. According to the build sheet, it's speculated this may be the first LS6 with a four-speed made.  Check out the article for all the pictures and details over at Hemmings.
